About our school
We are a School for Specific Purpose (SSP). We support students with medium to high needs. Our school provides a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment where every student is recognised and supported to achieve their full potential.
We work with families, carers and support staff to make a learning and wellbeing plan for each student. This means all students can learn in a way that suits them best.
Alongside our curriculum, students take part in programs that build skills in:
- communication
- independence
- life skills
- social skills.
Our classrooms are set up to meet each student’s needs. We make sure students feel safe, respected and ready to learn in a way that suits them. Our staff are caring and are skilled to help students feel confident, connected and proud of who they are.
Our school uses a placement process. Enrolment occurs through a formal referral. Families and schools can contact us if they think our school might be right for their child. To learn more, visit our enrolment enquiries page.
Our school is part of a program to strengthen respect for all our students and staff. The Addressing Occupational Violence initiative includes posters that will remind everyone to always treat our students and staff with kindness and respect, and that aggressive behaviour of any type will not be tolerated at school.
We value our partnerships with you to support every student to learn, grow, and belong. It is up to us – the school and the parent-body - to be good respectful role models to our students. Together, we can create a safe and harmonious environment for our students and staff
Please join us in supporting this work to create a positive change. Check out the new posters at school and if you have any questions or would like to discuss further, please make contact with the principal.
