Peterborough School counsellor
A trained school counsellor regularly attends Peterborough.

Roles and responsibilities:
- Complete assessments such as cognitive assessments, mental health assessments and adaptive assessments.
- Counsel individual students.
- Complete access request forms which are needed for enrolment in support placements
- Teacher consultation, class support, parent support, referrals and consultation with external agencies.
- Write letters and reports confirming students' cognitive functioning. These can be used with agencies such as Centrelink.
- Complete companion card applications if student criteria is met.
