The high school timetable includes a work experience component.
High school students participate in in-school work sessions centred around work crews.
Work crews include gardening, canteen, car washing, paper shredding and recycling, worm farm, online shopping orders and laundry.
During work crews students learn about the skills and attitudes required to be a good worker through modelling and practice. Peterborough work rules are used to reinforce good work habits.
Senior Peterborough students may have the opportunity to participate in community based work experience.
Participating students gain valuable work experience with local businesses and organisations to develop their work skills. These businesses include; The Pantry Store at Shellharbour City, the Shellharbour council nursery and Warilla McDonalds. On Friday morning students may also gain work experience in Sophie's Place, the school's cafe.
