Peterborough school holds an annual art exhibition in November each year. The art expo displays class and individual work on canvas as well as other art projects such as ceramics, photography and silk screen printing.
Students create all kinds of wonderful pieces in Peterborough classrooms. Work may be part of a theme or part of a sensory program.
Led by teacher Nancy Urban, selected students have the opportunity to develop their creative skills during elective sessions.
Sometimes these students enter their work in art competitions. This piece titled "The world is our oyster" was painted by a talented high school student and entered in the 2021 Reconciliation art challenge.
Stunning murals completed by high school students are featured throughout the school. The murals which depict local environments, the Australian and Aboriginal flags, outer space and the school emblem have been mounted on many school surfaces.
